Our client is a well-established accountancy practice advising a broad range of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger corporate clients.
The firm combines a strong local presence with the support and technical resources of a larger organisation.
Working within the audit team, you will support managers and directors with the delivery of a busy client portfolio whilst taking ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and complete audit assignments.
- Coordinate audit teams and allocate work across assignments.
- Review audit files and provide feedback to junior staff.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts.
- Identify technical issues and discuss these with senior management.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients during assignments.
- Monitor budgets, deadlines and work in progress.
- Support the training and development of junior colleagues.
- Assist with wider advisory and business development work.
- Ensure compliance with current auditing and accounting standards.
- Candidate Profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified or nearing qualification.
- Strong audit experience within UK accountancy practice.
- Experience leading audit assignments.
- Comfortable managing client relationships.
- Good technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards.
- Previous experience reviewing staff work.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ideally living in Doncaster or the surrounding area.
Package & Working Pattern
