Duties and Responsibilities
- Work as a team member under the supervision of team leader or manager, carrying out tasks as required in compliance with IPS Adhesives EHS and Quality Standards.
- Assess tasks for risks and implement control measures.
- Stage materials prior to batch production.
- Check Raw Material approval / shelf life status prior to use.
- Accurately weigh Raw Materials and Mixtures following standard process instructions to minimize batch variance.
- Accurately complete all relevant paperwork.
- Feed batches of raw materials into production machinery.
- Operate production line equipment, for example, a high-speed disperser.
- Monitor the production process.
- Finish products, for example, applying labels and packing goods ready for dispatch.
- Store goods and raw materials in the yard or warehouse using lifting equipment and forklift trucks.
- Clean and maintain work areas, machinery and equipment.
- Report any problems during the shift to the Lead Operators including any maintenance issues.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Good practical skills.

- Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.

- Ability to work independently and to carry out batch processing to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- No specific knowledge and experience is required but, if not already possessed, forklift truck counterbalance and reach licenses must be achieved within, ideally, twelve months of commencement, and a nationally recognized qualification, e.g. Level 1/2 in Performing Manufacturing Operations or Level 2 Certificate in Manufacturing Practices, is desirable.
