Salary: Up to £41,612 pa

Type: Permanent (Hybrid role)

Full time: 40 hours (Mon - Fri from 8:30am - 5pm)

Location: Ipswich. You must be located within a 90-minute radius of the site to be considered for this role.

Role: As a Functional Assessor, you will play a crucial role in interviewing claimants to understand the challenges they face. You will carry out detailed assessments through telephone, video, or face-to-face appointments to understand how a claimant's disability, condition, or illness affects their ability to carry out everyday activities in a respectful, fair, and reassuring manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse information critically to create accurate and concise reports.
  • Interpret clinical information and evidence.
  • Maintain professional standards in written communication and adherence to code of conduct.
  • Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.

Requirements / Candidate Profile: We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (listed below).
  • An ability to demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge.
  • Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office.

Essentials Qualifications:

  • Nurses: Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD only)
  • Physios/OTs: Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist
  • Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT's (COT)
  • Paramedics: BSc or Qualified Paramedic
