Full time: 40 hours (Mon - Fri from 8:30am - 5pm)
Location: Colchester. (You MUST be located within a 90-minute radius of the site to be considered for this role)
As a Functional Assessor, you will play a crucial role in interviewing claimants to understand the challenges they face. You will carry out detailed assessments through telephone, video, or face-to-face appointments to understand how a claimant's disability, condition, or illness affects their ability to carry out everyday activities in a respectful, fair, and reassuring manner.
With proven experience of working within a medical background you will:
- Analyse information critically to create accurate and concise reports.
- Interpret clinical information and evidence.
- Maintain professional standards in written communication and adherence to code of conduct.
- Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.
We would love to have you if you have:
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (listed below)
- An ability to demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge.
- Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office.
Essential Qualifications (Applications cannot be considered without these):
- A recognised qualification as a registered healthcare professional
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Membership with the relevant professional body, where applicable
- A minimum of 12 months' post-qualification clinical experience
- Evidence of eligibility to practise in the UK

Upon completion of probation, the successful candidate will also be eligible for the company bonus scheme, allowing them to earn up to 10% of annual salary based on company and individual performance.
