Responsibilities
- Undertake telephone clinical assessments of individual caseloads and deliver timely, quality, medically correct and accurate client reports in accordance with IPRS standards.
- Review physiotherapy e‑forms submitted by the IPRS Health clinical network, considering clinical content and appropriate treatment in line with evidence‑based medicine and established guidelines.
- Create personal reports following clinical triage calls and peer‑review others to ensure recommendations sent to clients are clinically appropriate.
- Analyse information from all sources (network e‑forms, specialist letters, medical reports, current evidence‑based guidelines, clinical pathways and own clinical reasoning) to ensure reports and recommendations are correct, accurate and reflect the IPRS Health Clinical Care Pathways.
- Make appropriate recommendations around clinical case management in terms of treatment and onward referral as required on a case‑by‑case basis.
- Ensure that any recommendations for further treatment or onward referrals are reasonable using clinical reasoning, clinical experience/knowledge and current evidence.
- Maintain and work toward key KPIs specific to the role of Clinical Case Manager.
- Serve as a “clinical point of contact” for non‑clinical personnel seeking clinical advice or information while undertaking telephone screening calls, dealing with client queries or making referrals.
- Liaise with various stakeholders involved in a patient’s care, verbally and in writing, to ensure any clinical queries or report‑based queries are responded to promptly and professionally.

- Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and ensure agreed safety procedures are carried out to maintain a safe environment for employees, patients and visitors.
- Contribute to IPRS Health’s business strategy by working with the MSK Leads on new client tenders.
- Work with IPRS Health MSK Leads to ensure that IPRS Health service provision responds to local and national initiatives and external policy such as HCPC professional standards, National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance.
- Contribute to the development of new clinical initiatives and innovations to keep IPRS Health at the forefront of physiotherapy service provision.
- Undertake any other duties compatible with the grading of the post, as required.
Qualifications
- Formal clinical qualification in physiotherapy (essential).
- Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) (essential).
- Evidence of continuing professional development (essential).
- Membership of CMSUK (desirable).
Experience
- Previous experience using computer software including Microsoft Office (essential).
- Previous experience using online/computerised reporting templates/databases and interpreting statistics for the purpose of managing & reporting (desirable).
- At least 3 years postgraduate clinical experience (essential).
- Experience of undertaking telephonic/video triage calls (desirable).
- Experience of clinical case management (essential).
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to work within a remote team to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
- Strong time‑management skills to meet agreed deadlines in a demanding environment.
- Detailed reporting to the client on patient progress using standardised report templates and the company database.
- Ability to audit outgoing reports to ensure core clinical standards are maintained.
- Understanding of the client and its needs.
- Accurate medico‑legal recording.
- Proficiency with databases and Microsoft programmes.
Other Information
- Salary: £30,000‑£35,000 pro rata
- Hours: Minimum of 20 hours per week – including at least one Friday and one 6 pm finish per week
- Location: 100 % remote within the UK – no travelling required
- Experience: Must be an HCPC‑registered physiotherapist with 3 years UK postgraduate working experience
