We are seeking a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.

IMPORTANT: You must be BABCP or BPS Registered to be considered for this position.

Salary & Working Conditions

  • £26,000 - £33,000 per annum FTE.
  • Fully remote working.
  • Hours: Full or part time hours available Monday to Friday. (full time 40 hours per week, part-time minimum (8hrs x 3 days) or 4 days (8hrs x 4 days)).

Main Job Duties

  • Remotely assess, triage, and deliver, under supervision, outcome focused, evidence‐based interventions to patients experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  • To deliver treatment to patients experiencing varying mental health difficulties.
  • To deliver a range of support for evidence‐based treatments, including telephone, media or typed.
  • Undertake accurate assessment of risk to self and others, in doing so to correctly manage and escalate any identified risk.
  • Apply sound theoretical knowledge of evidence‐based psychological interventions, using a range of short‐term therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of referred clients.
  • Through supervision and case management to escalate cases where the level of need becomes beyond the scope of your role or more severe in presentation.
  • Adhere to the service referral protocols. Under supervision signpost unsuitable referrals to the relevant service as necessary.
  • Manage a clinical caseload in line with guidance from the Team Lead, relevant professional standards, and the PWP Code of Practice.
  • Keep coherent records of all activity in line with service protocols and use these records and outcome data to inform decision making. Complete all requirements relating to data collection.

  • Work within a collaborative approach involving a range of relevant others when indicated.
  • Maintain a competent level of continued professional development (CPD).
  • Contribute to internal CPD activities, sharing good practice and supporting the development of PWP work within the service.
  • Take ownership of self‐development via commitment to internal and external CPD and other relevant activities.

  • Adhere to all company policies at all times.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overarching framework of IPRS team policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of best practice within the service.

Qualifications, Training and Experience

  • Qualification from a recognised PWP Training Course (Postgraduate Certificate or Level 3 Undergraduate Course) - (E)
  • Full Relevant professional registration with either BABCP or BPS - (E)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development - (E)

Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience of working with a range of mental health conditions - (E)
  • Experience in assessing and treating a range of mental health conditions - (E)
  • Experience of working with a range of individuals presenting with common mental health conditions - (E)
  • Evidence of high standards of written communication - (E)
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate reports and professional correspondence - (E)
  • Experience in the Corporate Market - (D)
  • Experience in delivering therapy on a one‐to‐one basis - (E)
  • Experience in delivering workshops - (D)
  • Previous experience working in public and private healthcare - (E)
