Position:

REACH/PSP – part of Handl Group have an opportunity for a Head of Business Development.

Working within the Health and Wellbeing Division, this position will offer direction to the business development, sales, marketing, and account management work undertaken by the individual businesses mentioned above.

The role draws together the synergies in the businesses required to sell more to existing markets whilst exploring new customers and adjacent territory.

The role reports to the General Manager appointed for the businesses while maintaining close liaison with the Clinical Directors and Operational Leads in each business. Group oversight will be directed through the Commercial Director for the Health and Wellbeing Division.

The key responsibility for the role is to ensure that there is a clear strategic direction as to target markets and propositions for each business.

Identifying opportunities for cross-selling and the development of an integrated plan for all joint customers plus an individual plan for customers who only buy ā€œsingle serviceā€ is crucial. Through this and working cohesively with operational and clinical colleagues, the businesses will achieve target year on year.

Due to the sector-focused expertise required, previous strong sector experience within the B2B Healthcare Services market is vital to be successful in ā€œhitting the ground running.ā€ Experience in the personal injury, clinical negligence, and rehabilitation markets is also essential.

Requirements:

  • Operating as a hands-on proactive ā€œresults-orientedā€ professional combining sales & marketing expertise with wider commercial/business understanding.
  • Successful development of growth plans and high-performing teams.
  • Effective integration and growth of multiple services and business operations would also be an advantage.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for and to close deals, and be comfortable negotiating safe and profitable contracts.
  • Engaging with customers, truly listening to their needs, and acting with the clinical/operational teams to develop products and processes to meet those needs.

Competitive salary & benefits.

Salary: Ā£50,000 – Ā£55,000.

Uncapped commission.
