Position

This position is offering 26.5 hours per week, £32,412 per annum (FTE £48,925) working 8am to 5pm.

Week 1 – Mon/Tues/Weds; Week 2 – Thurs/Fri/Sat.

Duties include:

  • Adhere to local policies and procedures whilst working within the HCPC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Accurately document consultation notes in a timely fashion to allow for suitable clinical guidance and intervention.
  • Recognise opportunities for providing health education during the consultation process.
  • Refer to the Clinical Service Delivery Manager, peers or colleagues as necessary for advice, whilst maintaining accountability and responsibility.
  • Demonstrate the ability to remain professionally focused on service delivery whilst dealing with an unpredictable, diverse and challenging workload.

Requirements

  • Current registration with HCPC as a Paramedic with no investigations/suspensions current or pending.
  • Previous experience of clinical autonomy.
  • Able to demonstrate Continuous Professional Development.
  • Minimum 3 years post qualification as a paramedic.
  • Evidence of consolidating post qualification practice.
  • Experience within prison secure establishment would be an advantage.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Ability to speak fluent English.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Smart, professional appearance and conduct.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work actively within a team, but to work without supervision whenever necessary.
  • Ability to identify and correct signs and symptoms of a deteriorating patient.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, in particular when interacting with patients and third parties.
  • Ability to influence a clinical situation.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately.
  • Ability to make appropriate and informed decisions quickly.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in an intense working environment.
