Role Summary

As a Paramedic working as a Court Healthcare Professional, you will use your clinical expertise and skills to support the health, safety and welfare of custodial individuals within court settings. Responsibilities include diagnosis, intervention, record‑keeping and providing clinical advice.

Working Hours & Salary

26.5 hours per week – £32,412 per annum (FTE £48,925). Rotational schedule: Monday to Saturday 8 am‑5 pm over a 2‑week rota. Full driving licence required.

Key Duties

  • Adhere to local policies and the HCPC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Accurately document consultation notes in a timely fashion.
  • Recognise opportunities for health education during consultations.
  • Refer to managers or colleagues for advice, maintaining accountability.
  • Remain professionally focused on service delivery with an unpredictable, diverse workload.

Qualifications, Training and Experience

  • Current HCPC registration as a paramedic with no investigations or suspensions.
  • Previous experience of clinical autonomy.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Minimum 3 years post‑qualification as a paramedic.
  • Experience within a secure establishment advantageous.
  • Full driving licence.
  • IT skills: MS Word, Excel, Teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
