Part-time Nurse – Westminster

Position: 26.5 hours per week, annual salary £32 412 (£48 925 FTE). Working hours 8:00 am‑5:00 pm. Schedule: Week 1 – Mon/Tue/Wed; Week 2 – Thu/Fri/Sat.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to local policies and procedures whilst working within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- Accurately document consultation notes in a timely fashion to allow for suitable clinical guidance and intervention.
- Recognise opportunities for providing health education during the consultation process.
- Refer to the Clinical Service Delivery Manager, peers or colleagues as necessary for advice, whilst maintaining accountability and responsibility.
- Demonstrate the ability to remain professionally focused on service delivery whilst dealing with an unpredictable, diverse and challenging workload.
Qualifications, Training and Experience
- Current registration with the NMC as a Nurse, with no investigations or suspensions currently or pending.
- Previous experience of clinical autonomy.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience as a nurse.
- Experience within a prison or secure establishment is an advantage.
- Basic IT skills, fluent spoken English and a full driving licence.
- Smart, professional appearance and conduct.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work actively within a team, but also independently.
- Ability to identify and correct signs and symptoms of a deteriorating patient.
- Clear and concise communication skills, particularly when interacting with patients and third parties.
- Ability to influence a clinical situation.
- Attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately.
- Ability to make appropriate and informed decisions quickly.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in an intense working environment.
