Position: 26.5 hours per week (£32,412 per annum, FTE £48,925). Working 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Week schedule: Week 1 – Mon/Tue/Wed; Week 2 – Thu/Fri/Sat.

Duties

• Adhere to local policies and procedures whilst working within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
• Accurately document consultation notes in a timely fashion to allow for suitable clinical guidance and intervention.
• Recognise opportunities for providing health education during the consultation process.
• Refer to Clinical Service Delivery Manager, peers or colleagues as necessary for advice, whilst maintaining accountability and responsibility.
• Demonstrate the ability to remain professionally focused on service delivery whilst dealing with an unpredictable, diverse and challenging workload.

Qualifications, Training and Experience

• Current registration with the NMC as a Nurse with no investigations or suspensions either current or pending.
• Previous experience of clinical autonomy.
• Evidence of continual professional development.
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification as a nurse.
• Experience within a secure establishment (e.g., prison) is an advantage.
• Basic IT skills.
• Fluent English.
• Full driving licence.
• Smart, professional appearance and conduct.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work actively within a team, but also independently when necessary.
• Identify and correct signs and symptoms of a deteriorating patient.
• Clear and concise communication skills, particularly when interacting with patients and third parties.
• Ability to influence a clinical situation.
• Attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately.
• Ability to make appropriate and informed decisions quickly.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in an intense working environment.

Other Information

Part‑time hours: 26.5 per week working 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Salary: £32,412 per annum (FTE £48,925).
