Position:

We are looking for Health Care Assistants (HCA) to join our expanding team as self-employed contractors, based in Thanet, Kent. Many of our team travel to complete blocks of shifts, and we provide free hotel accommodation during shifts.

Pay rate: £14.00 – £17.00 per hour

12-hour shifts: days 7am to 7pm & nights 7pm to 7am

The Role

As a Health Care Assistant for IPRS Aeromed, you will undertake medical duties ensuring the health and wellbeing of persons in our care. You will work within JRCALC guidelines and your scope of practice, maintaining clinical objectivity with the patient’s wellbeing as a priority.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Measuring and recording baseline observations upon initial contact and at intervals thereafter.
  • Producing accurate medical notes for ongoing care and clinical audits.
  • Ensuring the medical welfare of colleagues in the security team.
  • Alerting the Team Leader if a patient’s condition deteriorates.
  • Supporting medication management with your IT skills to ensure safety and accuracy.

Requirements:

What You’ll Need:

  • FREC 3 (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated CPD and BLS/ILS competencies
  • Proof of Covid and childhood vaccinations

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Prehospital or Emergency Department settings
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Full driving license and reliable transport
  • Knowledge of JESIP is desirable

Other information:

  • Pay rate: £14.00 – £17.00 per hour
  • 12-hour shifts: days 7am to 7pm & nights 7pm to 7am
  • Successful candidates will need to consent to a DBS check and Home Office security clearance, which can take up to 12 weeks.
