The Role
- Reports to: Chief Innovation Officer

iProov is expanding its Microsoft integration capability and building a dedicated identity portal that uses our biometric technology to verify users and perform secure operations within Microsoft Entra (such as biometric registration, account creation, and account recovery). As Technical Lead, you will take ownership of this portal, its architecture, development, security, and roadmap while working closely with partners who will continue to support feature development, especially for joint customer opportunities. This role will suit a highly capable engineer with strong Microsoft ecosystem experience, excellent technical leadership skills, and a passion for delivering secure, elegant identity solutions.
How you can make an impact
- Take technical ownership of the new identity portal and its long‑term roadmap
- Translate high‑level business requirements into solid technical designs
- Lead the engineering relationship with partners and oversee their deliverables
- Ensure the portal continues to advance iProov’s deepening integration with Microsoft Entra, including Verified ID, Credential Providers, PKI workflows, and identity governance
- Maintain extremely high security standards aligned with iProov’s reputation and customer expectations
- Act as a technical authority for customer conversations, solution design, and deployment support
- Help shape how iProov becomes the definitive biometric layer in the Microsoft ecosystem
What we would like to see from you
- Deep understanding of the Microsoft technology ecosystem
- Extensive experience with Azure, Microsoft Identity, and enterprise security architectures
- Strong familiarity with Entra ID, Entra ID Governance, and Verified ID
- Hands‑on experience managing and integrating Active Directory and Entra ID
- Strong working knowledge of Intune, Microsoft PKI (ADCS, Cloud PKI), and Certificate‑Based Authentication (CBA)
- Understanding of Windows Credential Providers and secure authentication flows
- Software Engineering (C# / .NET + Windows platforms)
- Experience with C / C++ on Windows (useful for lower‑level integrations and credential provider work)
- Ability to drive high‑quality engineering practices, code reviews, testing, and deployment standards
- Frontend & Full‑Stack Development
- Understanding of modern frontend frameworks beneficial but not required
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including performance tuning and secure data design
- Development Operations & Tooling
- Familiarity with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps pipelines
- Experience deploying and maintaining systems in cloud environments (Azure preferred)
- API Integration & Automation
- Experience integrating Microsoft APIs (e.g., Microsoft Graph)
- Comfortable working with external third‑party APIs and SDKs
- Ability to design secure, scalable integration patterns
- Security Mindset
- Deep understanding of application and identity security
- Knowledge of threat models including MITM, injection attacks, replay attacks, session hijacking, and device compromise
- Ability to design mitigations and review third‑party integrations with a critical eye
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and coordinating with external contractors
- Ability to own product direction, backlog, and technical decision‑making
- Comfortable working directly with strategic partners (e.g., Microsoft) and enterprise customers
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical detail into business impact
- Customer‑Facing & Problem‑Solving
- Enjoys working directly with customers to troubleshoot issues, design solutions, and support deployments
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability across both technical and customer contexts
