We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer to own product quality across our web, mobile and API platforms. This is not a ticket-closing role: quality needs to be considered across the full development lifecycle. You will be embedded in the product process from the start, contributing to acceptance criteria alongside product, design and engineering. We believe the people responsible for testing requirements should help write them - it sharpens understanding of the product and raises the quality bar from the outset.
When work lands for delivery, you will define the test strategy across manual and automated layers, validate behaviour across web, mobile and APIs, and make the call on what’s ready to ship.
What you’ll do:
- Own end-to-end product quality across web, mobile and API platforms.
- Contribute to acceptance criteria during refinement, ensuring requirements are clear, testable and complete before development starts.
- Define and maintain the overall test strategy across manual and automated layers.
- Build, execute and maintain test coverage for functional, regression, integration and performance scenarios.
- Validate UI behaviour across web and mobile, including cross-browser and cross-device checks.
- Verify API contracts, data integrity and system behaviour under real-world conditions.
- Act as release gatekeeper - sign off on readiness, flag risks early and balance speed with coverage.
How You Think About Quality:
- You translate requirements into comprehensive, risk-based test coverage - not just isolated test cases.
- You think in systems: considering how features interact across web, mobile and API.
- You anticipate real-world usage, edge cases and failure modes before they reach production.
- You balance release speed, risk and coverage to make pragmatic quality decisions.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a Senior QA or QA Lead role in web or mobile products.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle and agile delivery.
- Experience writing and refining acceptance criteria alongside product and engineering.
- Solid API testing experience using tools such as Postman.
- Experience defining and executing test strategy and release processes from scratch.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for edge cases and risks.
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright or Maestro.
- Confidence with mobile testing across iOS and Android, including device and emulator strategies.
- Experience setting up performance or load testing frameworks such as k6.
- Familiarity with security testing practices.
