Job responsibilities
We are looking to recruit an Advanced Phlebotomist toexpand our team working across at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital,Southend University Hospital and other local community clinics throughout SouthEssex.
This role is ideally suited for someone who is experienced,caring, friendly and would like to be a part of a team that contributes towardspatient care. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills towork and communicate with a large team across multiple sections.
Our Phlebotomy services operate Monday to Sunday and bankholidays from 07.00am 20.00pm. Due to the wide operating times, you would beworking a combination of shifts each week which would include early and lateshifts. Weekends and bank holidays are essential and also an expectation forthis role, however they are on a rotational basis and will attract additionalenhanced pay.
A full driving license and access to your own vehicle isessential, as you will be required to travel to a variety of community cliniclocations. Successful applicants will undergo a Disclosure and Barring Servicecheck.
Essential Skills and Experience

Educated to at least 5 GCSE Level (or equivalent) which must include English or NVQLevel 3 or equivalent experience
At least 12 months experience as a phlebotomist in a healthcare setting
Car driver and owner
Healthcare background preferred
