We’re excited to be working with this rapidly expanding business and assisting them with their next hire. To support their exciting expansion plans, they’re looking to recruit an additional commercial account handler, who will mainly focus on construction risks.
This position would ideally suit someone within an existing account handler role with 2 or more years’ experience who is looking to progress their career within a lean, fast-growing brokerage. As mentioned, the team is rapidly expanding, providing an ideal opportunity for an ambitious individual to progress.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Communicating with clients: Interacting with clients to manage renewal information, perform mid-term adjustments and take first notification of loss in the event of a claim.
- Insurer relations: Correspond on a day-to-day basis with underwriters to negotiate premiums, generate quotes via Etrade as well as manual submission and process mid-term adjustments. Chase documents as well as maintaining good relationships.
- Collaboration: Work with the execs to generate leads and drive new business by introducing your own personal network where possible.
- Administration: Utilise Acturis for data input and to generate market presentations as well as client-facing reports.
- Compliance: Ensure that files are compliant, Tobas and SoDaNs are issued to clients, and meeting minutes are written up and saved.
To be considered for this position, ideal candidates must have the following experience and skills:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a commercial brokerage at handler level.
- Familiarity with Acturis or similar insurer backed CRM systems.
- Solid knowledge of the commercial insurance mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
