The predicted salary is between 54000 - 84000 £ per year.
This role will act as a primary relationship manager for a designated group of sophisticated corporate clients forming the subsidiaries of mainly US multinationals active in EMEA and provide support to the Global Relationship Managers (GRM’s) with a view to achieving overall revenue growth and product cross sells. The role will involve taking direct responsibility for the origination and execution of specific corporate transactions, projects and will require a significant amount of internal documentation preparation, review and processing work, problem solving and business opportunity tracking. Other geographies may also be covered as required.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Origination and execution of customer transactions and to actively market corporate and investment banking products globally.
- Preparing customer call reports following customer meetings and conference calls to ensure accurate record keeping and to ensure there is thorough follow up.
- Close involvement in transaction reporting for marketing and credit monitoring purposes, and to prepare timely event memos for senior management for early warning heads up for major transactions or credit problems.
- Close involvement in the preparation of credit applications from a business promotion point of view and responsibility for all linked processes including liquidity application, compliance documentation/ KYC, and overall quality control.
- Organising Deal Screening materials, if required, to meet business case and large exposure requirements.
- Preparing marketing materials in conjunction with Product Offices for pitch books at customer meetings.
- Ownership of Account Planning for the customer base to ensure that cross sell is effectively achieved and monitored.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for technical and client related issues within your portfolio and liaise with other stakeholders to seek resolution and / or escalating as required.
- Liaising with internal counterparts, to gather relevant information to support decision making and planning.
- Assisting with general projects as they may arise as directed by team head/senior management.
- Mentoring and guiding junior colleagues in particular relating to financing structures, documentation and market practice.
To be considered for this position, ideal candidates must have the following experience and skills:
- Degree level education; Accounting, business, economics or legal qualification would be beneficial.
- Extensive marketing experience and corporate banking product knowledge.
- Previous experience of covering US inbound corporate clients or other inbound coverage (preferred).
- Must be numerate. Good written and spoken English essential.
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills with the ability to present ideas.
- Commercial awareness and knowledge of financial markets.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
