We're looking for an exceptional leader with deep technical expertise in personal and business protection, a strong commercial mindset, and a passion for delivering outstanding client outcomes. The Opportunity
This senior leadership role offers the chance to drive the strategic growth of an established protection proposition while becoming the technical authority for complex protection advice across both personal and corporate clients. You'll combine hands-on advisory work with leadership responsibilities, developing a scalable, high-performing team and building strong relationships with professional introducers to generate sustainable business growth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the strategic growth of the protection division across personal, family and business protection.
- Provide expert advice on complex protection planning for business owners, directors and high-net-worth clients.
- Build, recruit, coach and develop a high-performing team of advisers and support staff.
- Create scalable processes, clear KPIs and a culture of excellence.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with accountants, solicitors, tax advisers, estate planners, wealth managers and other professional introducers.
- Maintain strong partnerships with leading insurers and stay at the forefront of market developments.
- Ensure exceptional advice quality, regulatory compliance and outstanding client outcomes.

You'll be comfortable advising on complex cases including:
- Key Person Protection
- Shareholder Protection
- Relevant Life Policies
- Executive Income Protection
- Business Loan Protection
- Inheritance Tax Planning
- Trust Planning
- High Sum Assured Life Cover
- Family Protection Planning
- Complex medical underwriting
About You
You'll bring:
- At least 7 years' experience advising on protection solutions.
- A proven track record in complex business protection planning.
- Extensive experience working with business owners, directors and high-net-worth clients.
- Strong knowledge of trusts, underwriting and protection planning.
- Excellent commercial awareness and a proven ability to grow revenue.
- Outstanding communication, relationship-building and leadership skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
It would be advantageous if you also have:
- Previous leadership or management experience.
- Experience building or scaling a protection team.
- An established network of professional introducers.
- Qualifications such as CF6, CeMAP, DipFA or equivalent.
