Toprepareandsubmitmonthlyandyearlyfinancialandmanagementaccounts,commentaryandfinancialanalysisfortheBank.TomanageandsupervisetheAssistantFinanceManagerandtoperformotherfinancedutiesasandwhenrequiredandaslistedbelow.

Mainresponsibilitieswillinclude;

• Prepareandoverseethepreparationoffinancialreports,includingbalancesheets,incomestatementsandcashflowstatements,ensuringaccuracy,completenessandcompliancewiththerelevantaccountingstandard(UKGAAP/IFRS).
• Performtimelyfinancialanalysistointerpretandexplainvariances,trendsandotherkeyfinancialmetrics,helpingmanagementtomakeinformeddecisionsbasedonthefinancialperformanceofthebank.
• Responsiblefortheproductionorreviewoftheannualcorporationtaxreturn,quarterlytaxpaymentsandquarterlyVATreturns.
• Preparedisclosurenotesfortheannualfinancialstatements(underUKGAAP/IFRS)includinganalysis.Collaboratewithexternalauditorsduringtheauditprocess,providingthemwithnecessarydocumentation,explanations,andsupporttofacilitatethecompletionoftheauditinatimelymanner.
• Establishandmaintainrobustinternalcontrolsoverfinancialreportingprocessestosafeguardtheaccuracyandreliabilityoffinancialdata.
• Supervisetheday-to-dayactivitiesoftheAssistantManager,Finance,providingguidance,training,andsupporttoensuretheirprofessionaldevelopmentandtheachievementofdepartmentalgoals.
• ReviewtheactivitiesoftheAssistantManager,Finance,includingexpenseandsupplierpayments,balancesheetandnostroreconciliationsandothermattersforfinancial,vat,taxandregulatoryreporting.
• AssisttheRegulatoryReportingManagerwiththecompletionofthequarterlyFINREPregulatoryreturnsandanyotherrelevantad-hocregulatoryreports.
• Assistwithon-goingsystem,processandcontrolimprovementsandensuretheintegrityoffinancialdata.Establishandmaintaineffectiveinternalcontrolsoverfinancialreportingprocessestomitigatetheriskoferrorsorfraud.
• Identifyopportunitiestostreamlinefinancialreportingprocesses,enhanceefficiency,andimprovethequalityoffinancialinformationprovidedtostakeholders.
• EnsurecompliancewithlawsandregulationsrelatingtotheBanksfinancialreportingandaccountingfunctionandtoensuretheintegrityofdatainthebankscoresystem.
• ToprovideholidaycoverfortheChiefAccountantandtheManager,GroupReportingandasandwhenrequired.
• AssisttheChiefAccountantandCFOasandwhenrequired,includingad-hocrequests.

Tobeconsideredforthisposition,idealcandidatesmusthavethefollowingexperience&skills;

• Qualifiedaccountant(ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
• Atleast3yearsexperienceinasimilarroleinfinancialservices.
• Excellentexcel,analyticalandcommunicationskills.
• Experienceinpreparationoffinancialaccounts(includingknowledgeofFRS102andIFRS9).
• ExperienceincorporationtaxandVATmatters.
• RegulatoryreportingexperienceandknowledgeofFINREP.
• Abilitytomanageandmotivatedirectreports.
• Abletouseowninitiative.
• Strongorganisationalandtimemanagementskills.
• Flexibilityandadaptability.
