Role Description
You will play a key role in maintaining safe working environments across our operations by implementing and monitoring health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments and supporting the ongoing development of our H&S management systems. This role also involves delivering training, maintaining regulatory compliance and working closely with operational teams to promote a strong and practical safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
- Creating, updating, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Conducting thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards, implementing measures to control and reduce risks.
- Investigating accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Developing and delivering training programs to employees and management on safety procedures, hazard identification, and emergency preparedness.
- Performing regular workplace and site inspections to monitor compliance and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Documenting safety performance, incident statistics, and the effectiveness of safety programs to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare regular H&S performance reports.
- Liaise with external bodies including HSE, insurers, and certification bodies.
- Champion a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
- Support the Head of Compliance in strategic H&S planning and policy development.

Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate or actively working towards it (minimum requirement).
- Proven experience in a health and safety role (2 years minimum).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and H&S management software.
- Full UK driving licence.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent higher qualification.
- IOSH membership.
- Experience in facilities management or similar service industry.
- Fire safety or first aid qualifications.
