The role

As a General Operative at IPL Brightgreen you will support and operate the plastic recycling production ensuring correct materials are being processed.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all correct materials are processed in the sites various recycling machines by following appropriate job cards
• Working on our extrusion area filling 8 tonne blenders with various plastic materials using on site FLTs
• Ensuring all plastic bales are prepared for processing
• Ensuring shredders are filled to go through the wash plant
• Completion of production records as required for the production processes including records for both machine operation and results of in process quality control testing
• Sampling and testing of recycled polymers as per quality control procedures
• Prepping material for delivery into extrusion department
• Carry out planned routine maintenance tasks with the maintenance team on equipment in line with process training
• Report any safety hazards equipment faults or maintenance issues immediately to the Shift manager or H&S Manager

What you will bring to the role

• Experience in industrial or manufacturing site is essential
• Working knowledge of health & safety regulations

This role involves shift work including nights.
