Logtek Ltd (part of IPL Schoeller Group) is a UK based company formed in 1996 that provides logistics and operational services for the control and management of returnable transit packaging (RTP) – principally plastic trays and bulk containers used in the grocery and retail supply chain.
Main Duties
- Promoting strong financial and cost control (including high emphasis on both labour reporting and overhead apportionment)
- Weekly 13‑week cash flow forecasts (Reporting into the Treasury software platform Coupa)
- Maintain full reconciliation of Company Bank Accounts and be one of the primary signatories
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliation and balance sheet control (Accruals, Prepayments, Deferred Income, Fixed Assets)
- Monthly reconciliation and calculation of the M&S contractual revenues and handling fee (New Build)
- Provide accurate monthly depot running costs for onward reporting by M&S KAM
- Control of the accounts reporting system (IFS)
- Prepare Monthly / Quarterly / Annual forecasts / Budgets (as required)
- Liaise with Departmental and Depot Managers in maintaining Budgetary controls and apportionments.
- Control of Purchase Orders
- Liaise with external and internal auditors in completing statutory accounts and tax provisioning.
- Financial support to facilitate reporting requirements of business partners
- Prepare Capital Expenditure requests (minimal)
- Completion and submission of VAT returns to HMRC
- Identification of risks and opportunities within the business to give clear direction and support when understanding variances
- Produce detailed analysis and reconciliation of actual transactions against expected forecast for inclusion in monthly report packs
- Support the Regional Business Controller with analysis and provision of Management Information and monthly reporting
- Ad‑hoc duties as required
- Stand‑in for Regional Business Controller if required
Essential Qualifications
- Excel (Advanced)

- Studying or qualified with one of the main accountancy bodies

- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- 3 years PQE
- Experience working in the Retail or Logistics industry would be advantageous
