Join Our Dynamic Operations Team at IPL Normanton! We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an Advisor - SHE & Compliance to become a vital part of our on‑site Health & Safety Team at our Produce Packaging Facility in Normanton.

Position Details: Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm | Location: IPL Normanton (site based) | Contract Type: Permanent

Responsibilities

  • Undertake SHE audits to validate KPIs set with key stakeholders, ensuring both internal and external metrics are maintained and full compliance is adhered to; present findings and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure IPL maintains full accreditations to both internal and external health & safety standards, supporting the Senior Operations Manager with strategies to cascade to stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain database entries for all accidents and near misses, implementing and coordinating initiatives that reduce risk through effective communications and best‑practice campaigns.
  • Maintain and update site‑specific health & safety policies and procedures, communicating changes to key stakeholders.
  • Support the first aid provision for the site, ensuring legal requirements for cover and training are met.
  • Ensure all key stakeholders are appropriately trained to complete accident investigations and assist in investigations; lead investigations in high‑potential incidents/accidents.
  • Provide consultative information and advice on SHE safety to all key stakeholders.
  • Implement and coordinate initiatives that reduce the risk of accidents and incidents through effective communications, campaigns and best practice.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within the food industry and a health and safety/compliance background.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbally, with the ability to engage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Able to organise and prioritise own workload.
  • NEBOSH qualification (desirable).
  • First Aid training (desirable).
  • HACCP for food manufacturing training (desirable).
