Join our dynamic Technical Team at IPL Sittingbourne. We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Leader to become a vital part of our onsite Technical Team at our Fresh Produce packing facility in Sittingbourne. If you are passionate about Technical & Quality and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!

Position Details

  • Schedule: 4 on 4 off, 7am - 7pm (Days)
  • Location: IPL Sittingbourne (site‑based)
  • Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the QA team to meet ASDA’s quality and compliance requirements during packing.
  • Maintain finished specifications to ensure availability for QA.
  • Ensure production paperwork is completed accurately, inclusive of track changes.
  • Investigate rejections or internal quality failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Maximise yield through coaching colleagues on quality, monitoring & reduction, while still meeting ASDA’s specifications.
  • Communicate quality issues on the line to senior stakeholders to ensure quick action and minimise impact on productivity.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines to continuously improve the department’s ways of working.
  • Deliver training and coaching sessions to QA using written SOPs and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance for BRC requirements and assist in internal compliance audits.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience working within Operations in a supervisory role.
  • Relevant experience in fresh produce or food.
  • HACCP Level 3.
  • BRC Lead Assessor.
  • Proactive decision making.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Office.
