About The Role
Join Our Dynamic Onsite Production Team at IPL Sittingbourne!
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Line Leader to be a key part of our onsite Production Team at our Fresh Produce packing facility in Sittingbourne. If you are passionate about production and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is ideal for you!
Position Details:
- Schedule: 4 on 4 off, 7am – 7pm
- Location: IPL Sittingbourne – Site Based Role
- Contract Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and organise a production line to meet daily targets for efficiency and yield, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled to high quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food hygiene laws, and health & safety regulations.
- Verify that all finished products meet customer specifications and are released accordingly.
- Maintain accountability for product quality, fostering a quality-focused culture.
- Complete daily checks and documentation accurately and promptly, including safety checks, handovers, and safety registers.
- Promote a safety and quality culture, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and provide detailed handovers.
- Utilise company resources efficiently and adhere to policies and procedures.
- Act as deputy for the Shift Operation Leader when necessary.
- Follow the 5S process and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and record weights and ensure conformity to procedures.
- Liaise with the packaging team to ensure labels and packaging are ready, avoiding downtime.
- Verify produced products against the matrix for accuracy in packaging and labeling.
