Join Our Dynamic IPL! We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an Area Trainer to become a vital part of our onsite Training Team at our fresh produce packing facility in Normanton. If you are passionate about training and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30-17:00
Location: IPL Normanton - Site Based Role
Contract Type: Permanent
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Write, maintain, update and continuously evolve our training material and standard operating procedures to constantly meet the needs of our business.
- Plan and deliver effective and engaging training to our site colleagues, focusing on regulatory and mandatory training.
- Provide learners with all relevant information e.g. policies, SOPs and regulations to clarify what is expected from them and to ensure their safety.
- Keep up to date with all administration work and maintenance of the training database within the defined timescales, ensuring all training is logged correctly.
- Monitor and review the progress of each learner through feedback questionnaires, observations and discussions with their line managers.
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Senior Leadership team and Production Leaders team to ensure all training delivered is in line with the ongoing operational plan and all training needs are fulfilled.
- Ensure key performance measures are delivered consistently.
- Maintain own expertise by keeping up to date with new processes, key developments, updates and changes to deliver an effective and efficient service to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Induct and train all new colleagues into the business ensuring follow up training is completed within the timeframe set.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience of working within Operations/Factory/Production site ideally within a Production/Operations/Factory as an Area Trainer or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of Health and Safety procedures in the workplace.
- Internal or BSC Health & Safety Level 1 Course.
- Train the trainer qualification or equivalent (Not required at point of employment but person must be willing to undertake this training).
- Experience of coaching/Mentoring colleagues with mixed abilities.
- Working knowledge of using MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Proven track record of consistently delivering/exceeding KPIs.
- A desire to constantly improve training effectiveness by developing new approaches and ideas.
- Well-developed problem solving abilities.
- Able to develop good working relationships with a variety of colleagues both internally and externally.
