The Software Test Engineer is responsible for supporting software testing activities to ensure that software products function as intended and meet defined requirements. The role involves developing and executing test plans and procedures, maintaining automated test scripts, and identifying defects during the testing process. In this role you will work on a variety of interesting projects in a cross‑team environment working with automation test tools as well as manual exploratory testing.
- Assist in the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to verify software functionality.
- Identify, document, and report software defects and inconsistencies.
- Maintain and update automated test scripts as needed.
- Participate in reviews of requirements, architecture, and design documents.
- Follow established testing processes and standards.
- Collaborate with software development engineers and others in Test/QA to resolve identified issues.
- Keep abreast of testing techniques and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in software testing or a related discipline.
- Foundational knowledge of software development and testing principles.
- Familiarity with basic test automation concepts and tools.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle processes including Agile and Waterfall.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and build constructive working relationships with colleagues and other teams within iPipeline.
- Ability to self‑manage time and workload.
