The Talent Advisory Team Lead, Agency Brands plays a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality, consistent, and people-first delivery of operational HR activity across our agency brands; Initiative, Mediahub and UM.
Leading our Brand Agencies Talent Advisor Hub, this role is responsible for managing a team of Talent Advisors who deliver across the full employee lifecycle, including ER case management, onboarding/offboarding, and cyclical people programmes. The Team Lead ensures a consistent, responsive, and high-quality service across the agency brands, while actively coaching and developing the advisory team.
Reporting into the Head of Talent, the Lead works closely with Talent Business Partners to ensure operational delivery aligns with business priorities and strategic direction. A key part of this role is helping Advisors broaden their understanding of commercial drivers, business context, and what it takes to operate as a value-adding people function.
Key Responsibilities
Line manage and develop a team of Talent Advisors, providing coaching, feedback, and direction.
Set clear expectations and create a culture of accountability, learning, and shared ownership.
Create a strong team dynamic within the Talent Advisor Hub, full of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Help Advisors build commercial acumen and agency awareness, partnering closely with the Head of Talent and Talent Business Partners.
Act as a key escalation point for day-to-day issues, ER cases, and delivery challenges.
Strategic Alignment & Collaboration
Work closely with the Head of Talent and Talent Business Partners to align operational delivery with business needs and strategic priorities.
Act as a key connector between strategic partnering and day-to-day operations, ensuring a joined-up approach across the function.
Feed insights and trends from the Hub activity back into strategic discussions and planning.
Support the successful rollout of cyclical talent programmes (e.g. performance, salaries, engagement, mobility).
Collaborate with ER, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development & Inclusion, and Talent Operations to ensure seamless cross-functional delivery.
Operational Oversight & Delivery Excellence
Lead the central Talent Advisor Hub, overseeing daily delivery of people processes across Initiative, Mediahub and UM.
Maintain high-quality delivery across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, performance reviews, salary reviews, and offboarding.
Monitor service levels and response times, ensuring stakeholders receive timely and consistent support.
Coordinate workflow and capacity across the Hub to ensure the right resource is in place for business needs.
Ensure templates, toolkits, process guidance etc. are clear, consistent, and up to date.
Champion a people-first mindset and high-quality employee experience at every lifecycle touchpoint.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, remove inefficiencies, and elevate the experience for employees and managers.
Lead feedback loops and help embed a culture of continuous improvement across the Talent Advisor Hub.
Equip Advisors with the right messaging, tools, and guidance to support change and communication initiatives.
