IAM Solutions Consultant & Presales Engineer

Iperium is partnering with a leading identity software company to hire a technically strong Solutions Consultant.
The company’s platform connects and unifies identity data across on-premises, cloud and SaaS environments, helping large organisations simplify complex identity architectures and support initiatives including SSO, identity governance, cloud directory deployments, CIAM and M&A integration.
This is a client-facing presales role for someone who understands the technical detail behind IAM and directory services, but can also translate complex requirements into clear solutions and business outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Partner with Territory Managers throughout complex enterprise sales cycles
- Lead technical discovery sessions and uncover customer identity challenges
- Design scalable identity integration and directory-service architectures
- Deliver tailored demonstrations, technical presentations and webinars
- Run proof-of-value engagements and support deals through to technical validation
- Advise customers on identity data modelling, interoperability and integration
- Build trusted relationships with technical and business stakeholders
- Support partners and provide customer feedback to product and engineering teams
- Keep up to date with developments across IAM, identity security and Zero Trust
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of presales experience within IAM, cybersecurity or enterprise software
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory and enterprise directory services
- A solid understanding of LDAP, REST APIs, SCIM, SSO and MFA
- Knowledge of federation standards including SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect
- Experience designing solutions involving identity integration, data modelling and system interoperability
- Confidence delivering technical demonstrations and proof-of-value engagements
- The ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong client-facing communication, discovery and presentation skills
- Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, networking and security fundamentals
Additional experience that would be useful
- RadiantOne, OpenDJ, IBM TDS or other directory platforms
- SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or SQL querying
- Windows or Linux administration
- PowerShell, Python or Bash scripting
- RBAC, ABAC, PKI or privileged access management
- IAM integrations across hybrid, cloud and SaaS environments
This role would suit an IAM specialist who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with customer engagement and consultative selling.
