iPeople SC Solutions is recruiting an Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Social Worker to work for our client based in Harrow, Greater London.

The Exploitation Advanced Practitioner role will sit within the Youth Justice Service and will carry a reduced caseload of complex young people exposed to extra familial harm.

The role will support key workers across the county to ensure young people’s plans address issues related to Missing, Slavery, Exploitation, and Trafficking. In the Adolescent Service, we care every day about the safety, wellbeing, and future of young people.

Responsibilities

• Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ideally with direct experience of working with adolescents.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to make decisions and plans with young people and their families.
• Empathetic and sensitive to the needs of children, young people, and families.
• Creative problem-solving abilities.
• Passionate about maximizing a young person’s life chances to improve their overall outcomes.
• Desire to make a difference every day.
• Relevant Social Work qualification such as the Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW, or CSS and registration on the SWE register.
