iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting for a Best Interest Assessor to work for our client based in Swindon and surrounding areas. We are seeking a full time, qualified, currently practicing and competent Best Interests Assessors to join our team for 6 months to complete Best Interests Assessments under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards legal framework.
The assessors will be primarily home based, however will be required to travel to complete assessments in Swindon or the surrounding geographical area, attend a weekly team meeting via MS Teams and a monthly face to face team meeting at the Civic campus in Swindon. All necessary IT and communication equipment will be provided.
The expectation is that the assessors will complete at least 3 Best Interests Assessments per week, including the mental capacity assessment, in accordance with the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards requirements and legal framework. The team have a template of local guidance and considerations for assessors when undertaking the role including expectations of recorded assessment work to enable signatories to be satisfied that the requirements are met for them to authorise the relevant person's deprivation of liberty. The team will provide individual and peer supervision opportunities.
