iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting for Children with Disabilities Social Worker to work for our client based in Ryde.
Responsibilities
- You will be working with children who have severe and complex needs including Autism Spectrum conditions.
- The team undertake Child and Family assessments of children who are disabled and their families.
- This includes working with families to address safeguarding concerns and working with Children in Care, whether full time or short break care.
- Cases can be managed under child in need which can include short breaks out of the home and the provision of direct payments.
- The work tends to be long term in nature.
- A lot of our work can be multi-disciplinary and requires a coordinated response between services.
- This might be with Health, Children and Young People’s Continuing Health Care, SEN Case Workers, Specialist Schools, and other clinical and therapeutic practitioners.
- We also work closely with our colleagues in Adult Services to ensure young people are supported to transition successfully into adulthood.
