We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join a Complex Care Team for Tri-Borough based in London. This is a full-time role with some hybrid working. Work completed in this team is mostly complex moving and handling, assessments for major adaptations, and low-level equipment provision.
Key responsibilities:
- Triaging referrals into the OT service
- Giving information and advice to service users and other professions
- Signposting referrals
- Responding to queries – supported by admin team and manager
- Highlighting high-risk cases
- Duty visits where required
- Holding a small caseload
Requirements:
- Recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist
- Record of high performance in delivering a customer-focused service to demanding targets and objectives
- Understanding and experience of working with vulnerable adults within a care environment
- Sound, practical understanding of relevant legislation (such as the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act), policies and processes necessary to deliver complex and multiple services to vulnerable adults
- Competent in the use of case management and document management systems with an understanding of how this benefits the efficiency, effectiveness and safety of the service
- Problem solving and analytical skills with a creative, flexible and sensitive approach that delivers personalised and user-led outcomes-based solutions
