iPeople SC Solutions is recruiting Domestic Cleaners to work for our client based in Islington and the surrounding area. The successful post holder must ensure that the resident’s environment is safe, clean, hygienic, and ‘homely’ by undertaking a variety of domestic tasks and duties efficiently, safely and having regard to the professional objectives of the setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the delivery of services to service users in the home, in such a way that safeguards and promotes their welfare.
  • Undertake the cleaning of designated areas within day or residential settings to ensure that they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
  • Washing; sweeping; vacuum cleaning; emptying of litterbins; polishing; dusting; washing down of paintwork of such designated areas (including toilets, bathrooms, and shower area) and fixtures & fittings, using where appropriate powered equipment.
  • Cleaning of the kitchen and its surroundings at the request of the cook/housekeeper, deputy, or unit manager.
  • The cleaning of young people’s own space/rooms/the making of beds.
  • Monitoring cleaning supplies.
  • The collection, preparation, laundering and finishing of both client's garments and household linens (e.g., table clothes).
  • The cleaning of laundry equipment and immediate surroundings.
  • The reporting of machinery breakdowns, problems, etc to the cook/housekeeper/manager.

Working hours: 20 hours per week (5hrs per day, 4 days)
