iPeople SC Solutions is recruiting a Participation Officer to work for our client in Knowsley, Merseyside. A Local Authority based in Merseyside is looking for a Participation Officer to join their Children Services. The purpose of a Participation Officer is to support and advocate on behalf of our children and young people to ensure that they have a voice in Children’s Service that can create improvements for the service.

Previous experience working with children is essential for this role.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate and supervise the current participation activities within the service.
  • To implement Mind of My Own within the service.
  • To support the effective involvement and influence of children in care and care leavers in the corporate parenting committee.
  • To provide relevant feedback to children in care on the outcomes of their consultations and other activities.
Criteria:
  • Previous experience working with children and young people.
  • Previous experience working in a social care or childcare setting.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
