iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting experienced Housing Solutions and Homeless Prevention Officers to work for our client based in London and surrounding areas. The successful post holder will provide housing advice, homelessness casework and support households in temporary accommodation to rapidly move on into PRS or other housing.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all casework and housing data is accurately recorded on notes and IT systems
- Ensure all housing meets required national and local standards and compliance
- Ensure the provision of accurate and relevant housing, welfare, homelessness advice and support
- Provide and support temporary accommodation residents to make informed housing solution choices
- Support temporary accommodation residents to move on from temporary accommodation into the private rented sector or other housing
- Provide an outstanding Housing Solution Service and ensure residents comply with the terms of their agreement and promptly take remedial action as required
- Investigate and work in partnership to resolve management issues, such as ASH, hoarding, rent arrears, etc.
- Work in partnership to identify and address welfare, housing and homelessness fraud
- Any other duties reasonably requested by management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within local authority
- Qualification in housing or related social subject
- Enhanced DBS
- 5 Years Work Reference
- Knowledge and experience of delivering excellent customer service within a local authority housing and/or homelessness service
- Only candidates with previous experience within local authorities and Housing will be considered
Working Hours
Monday to Friday - 9.00am to 5.00pm. Hybrid working is welcomed once the office-based induction period is completed.
