iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting for Kitchen Assistants to work for our client based in London and surrounding areas. The successful post holder will assist the provision of the catering service within a Care Home setting.
Duties and responsibilities as a Kitchen Assistant:
- To assist in the provision of the catering service
- Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
- Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
- Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
- Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking food and helping to prepare salads and desserts
- Disposing of rubbish
- Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
Requirements of this Kitchen Assistant role:
- Must have experience in catering or service industry and have knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations
- Enhanced DBS Check on the update service
- 5 years’ work reference
Working hours: Monday to Friday – 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
