iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting for a Commissioning Team Manager to work for our client based in Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire. We are looking for a commissioning team manager for a period of 3 months initially with the possibility of extension.
This is a small and fast-paced team who seek education and social care placements for children in care from external providers. It functions essentially as a brokerage team at the moment and is undergoing some improvement work internally to widen the scope of the service after systems and processes are put in place. The team are friendly and building their skills in engaging with external providers. This is not a team of social workers although they work closely alongside colleagues from children’s social care.
They receive referral forms from social workers seeking placements for children in both planned and emergency situations. The team work carefully to negotiate with providers on costs and have an understanding of the needs and circumstances of the children they are working.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with external providers of homes for children in care. Education placement experience and a commissioning background is a plus. Candidates will need strong Excel skills, too, in order to monitor and report on compliance within the service.
