Children's Social Worker – CWAD Children with Disabilities Service

Location: North & West Dorset | Rate: £42 per hour

iPeople SC Solutions is recruiting for a Children with Disabilities Social Worker to work for our client based in North and West Dorset.

Responsibilities

  • Work with children who have severe and complex needs, including Autism Spectrum conditions.
  • Undertake Child and Family assessments of disabled children and their families.
  • Address safeguarding concerns with families and collaborate with Children in Care, whether full‑time or short‑break care.
  • Manage cases under child in need, including short breaks out of the home and provision of direct payments.
  • Provide long‑term support for children and families.
  • Collaborate with CWAD Support (Early Help) team and a paediatric Occupational Therapy Team to support children with eligible needs.
  • Support young people in transition to adulthood in partnership with Adult Services.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid role – part remote, part on‑site visits. Covers maternity leave in North & West Dorset.
