OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: Execute production plans for the responsible area.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • To understand the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Production Plan.
  • To ensure capacity requirements agreed between the Planning Team and Production Managers meet the Production Plan.
  • Review material availability and discuss any missing parts with the Procurement Team.
  • Ensure programming, tooling and fixtures are available to meet production demand.
  • Release agreed work to the Machine Shop.
  • Run the dispatch list for the Machine Shop (if required) or ensure Production Supervisors have run the dispatch list.
  • Ensure priorities are clear on the dispatch list and ensure the order is followed.
  • Review adherence to plan and support with recovery plans when target/output is not achieved.
