OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: Verify the conformity of component parts and assemblies.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Inspect parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable data package requirements, using a range of measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers, and faro arms.
  • Inspect component parts to verify applicable machine tool set up processes.
  • Inspect component parts and assemblies in accordance with batch sampling requirements.
  • Complete formal First Article inspection activities.
  • Complete component and assembly testing in accordance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
  • Process / complete non-conformance related documentation (when applicable).
  • Support inspection related tasks / activities at non Ipeco locations (when required).
  • Complete / authorise formal release certification (when required).
  • Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
  • Help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures.
  • Carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required. This is not an exhaustive list.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working within an engineering environment.
  • Relevant experience in inspection activities.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings in both Metric and Imperial units.
  • Experience using a range of precision measuring equipment.
  • Proficient on IT systems, including MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience of Ipeco's core manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of quality standards (9001 Quality Management).
  • Proven experience working with SAP ERP or similar.
  • Understanding and experience of First Article Inspection requirements.
