OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To assist and undertake the manufacture, test, inspection and finishing of assemblies and piece parts within Precision Engineering.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- To assemble precision engineered components to drawing requirements.
- To flatten/fettle precision engineered components to drawing requirements.
- To resin coat precision engineered components as required.
- To pressure test precision engineered components as required.
- To undertake insert assembly as required.
- To assist in ensuring that all components meet the required high standard of quality.
- To carry out administration tasks as requested to assist in the smooth running of the department.
- Responsible for ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained.
- To help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and safety policies and procedures.
- To support other team members with other tasks when necessary.
- To assist in training other department members.
- To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant to manufacturing. This is not an exhaustive list.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using hand tools.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.
