OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: Verify the conformity of component parts and assemblies.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Inspect parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable data package requirements, using a range of measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers, and faro arms.
- Inspect component parts to verify applicable machine tool set up processes.
- Inspect component parts and assemblies in accordance with batch sampling requirements.
- Complete formal First Article inspection activities.
- Complete component and assembly testing in accordance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
- Process / complete non-conformance related documentation (when applicable).
- Support inspection related tasks / activities at non Ipeco locations (when required).
- Complete / authorise formal release certification (when required).
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures.
- Carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working within an engineering environment.
- Relevant experience in inspection activities.
- Ability to read engineering drawings in both Metric and Imperial units.
- Experience using a range of precision measuring equipment.
- Proficient on IT systems, including MS Office.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above.
- Industry-recognised engineering-based Apprenticeship.
- Experience of Ipeco's core manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of quality standards (9001 Quality Management).
- Proven experience working with SAP ERP or similar.
- Understanding and experience of First Article Inspection requirements.
