Role Overview: As the rate of adoption and our range of solutions expands, we are seeking a Manager of the Network Services Customer Solutions team to work in a client‑facing technical pre‑sales support role, based in London and aimed at providing solutions expertise across EMEA, both directly and indirectly.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver presentations, hold design workshops, respond to RFPs and prepare solutions proposals and bids, providing ongoing lifecycle account support.
  • Work within the ecosystem in cooperation with third‑party consultancies and other vendors and service providers.
  • Support bid activities, including RFI and RFP responses and complex solution proposals.
  • Assist distribution and regional offices to ensure product and corporate messaging is accurate and on point.
  • Collaborate with product management, marketing and other IPC functions to provide quality lifecycle support to existing clients and to supply competitive market feedback for new product and service specifications and campaigns.
  • Partner with the Account Manager to drive business closure.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Discover, understand and define customer requirements.
  • Position IPC solutions within the target environment.
  • Respond to a broad range of technical solution questions.
  • Design customized solutions ranging from standard product optimization to complex integration projects involving third‑party products.
  • Position hybrid infrastructure opportunities across public, private and hybrid platforms from inception through delivery.
  • Prepare, host and deliver tailored customer presentations.
  • Communicate product, solution and service benefits, features, technical details and designs.
  • Provide technology direction and roadmap insights.
  • Generate RFP responses that are technically accurate, credible and context‑appropriate, well written, concise and professionally illustrated.
  • Act as the conduit between clients and IPC Product Management for product enhancements and requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or similar technical client‑facing role.
  • Experience in a financial markets services provider highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Preferable certifications: CCNA, CCNP.
  • Strong understanding of hosting architectures and systems administration.
  • Proven experience with server hardware and infrastructure design.
  • Familiarity with datacenter colocation environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with virtualization and containerization platforms (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to low‑latency trading infrastructure and market data feeds.
  • Understanding of financial extranets and the broader financial technology landscape.
  • Expertise in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, RIP, ISIS.
  • Familiarity with carrier‑grade MPLS traffic engineering in Managed WAN, VPLS, and Financial Extranet settings.
  • Experience with Precision Time Protocol, Boundary Clocks, Grandmasters and other synchronization technologies.
  • Knowledge of SIP voice signaling protocols and Carrier Ethernet implementations.
  • Solid grasp of network security principles, including encryption, authentication, firewall configuration and SBCs.

We spend approximately 60% of our time in the office and about 40% working remotely. Some employees may need to work from the office or client sites more than 60% of the time, depending on their role and client needs.
