This is a rare, career-defining opportunity to design, build, and own the commercial engine of a next-generation global energy trading and infrastructure platform — from day one. The company is being built to operate at the intersection of:

As Chief Commercial Officer, you will architect how the business trades, scales, prices risk, allocates capital commercially, and competes globally. You will define the commercial DNA of the platform. Your decisions will shape markets, counterpart relationships, trading strategy, and long-term value creation. This role is designed for elite commercial leaders and traders who want true ownership, strategic control, and the opportunity to build something that did not exist before.

Compensation Notice: No fixed monthly salary prior to the commencement of commercial operations. Compensation is equity-led, with significant long-term upside directly tied to platform performance and enterprise value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Architecture & Trading Strategy
    • Design and own the global trading strategy across:
    • Physical oil & gas markets
    • LNG
    • Light Ends
    • Middle Distillates
    • Heavy Ends
    • Derivatives and structured products
    • Define market positioning, product mix, and risk appetite.
    • Build pricing frameworks, credit strategy, and counterparty segmentation.
  • Platform & Revenue Engine Design
    • Create the commercial operating model from first principles:
    • Trading governance
    • Risk and P&L ownership structures
    • Performance measurement
    • Capital efficiency models
    • Translate infrastructure assets into scalable trading advantage.
  • Leadership & Organization Building
    • Recruit and lead top-tier traders, originators, and commercial operators.
    • Establish a high-performance trading culture comparable to leading global firms.
    • Set standards for discipline, speed, accountability, and risk control.
  • Executive & Strategic Role
    • Act as core member of the founding executive team.
    • Partner closely with CEO, finance, legal, and operations on:
    • Market entry strategy
    • Asset deployment
    • Capital allocation from a commercial perspective
    • Long-term growth roadmap

Candidate Profile

  • 12+ years in senior commercial or trading leadership roles within:
  • Global energy trading houses
  • Super majors
  • Large commodity platforms
  • Proven track record building and running profitable trading books and teams.
  • Deep hands-on experience in:
  • Physical energy markets
  • LNG
  • Refined products
  • Derivatives
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both:
  • Market-maker level
  • Boardroom / strategy level
  • Exceptional commercial instinct, risk judgment, and negotiation capability.
  • Comfortable operating in complex, cross-border and emerging-market environments.
  • Fluent English required.

Compensation & Ownership

Founding executive equity participation. Long-term incentive structure tied directly to:

No fixed salary before commercial launch. This is a build-to-own opportunity, not a salary role.
