The role: Auditor
Work location: Field-based in Southern / Southwest England in locations such as Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Surrey, Devon, Cornwall, Essex, East Midlands, Kent, Hertfordshire, Luton, Somerset, South Hampton, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Portsmouth.
Experience: We welcome candidates with professional experience as an IPAF instructor, in rental services, auditing, or health & safety and quality fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct audits of IPAF Training Centres, Instructors and Hire/Rental companies in accordance with IPAF standards and relevant regional regulations, in close coordination with the UK office.
- Prepare for audits through document review and risk-based planning.
- Ensure audit findings are clearly documented and communicated in line with IPAF procedures.
- Provide guidance and clarification to Training Centres, Instructors and Hire/Rental members regarding IPAF compliance requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and tools by providing feedback and suggestions.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in IPAF's audit management systems.
- Participate in internal auditor calibration sessions to ensure consistency and quality across the audit team.
- Stay informed of changes in IPAF standards, regional legislation, and industry best practices relevant to training and safety.
Preferred Competencies:
- IPAF Instructor Certified.
- Lead Auditor in at least one of the following ISO standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001. Candidates with equivalent or alternative auditing qualifications and/or relevant experience may also be considered.
- Ideally experience in planning, conducting, and reporting audits.
- Proven, prior experience within powered access or related industry.
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders and generate reports in both verbal and written English.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to build rapport amongst members.
- Confident decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to identify trends and root causes.
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role, with strong time management and organisational skills.
- Proficient in using digital tools and platforms for audit planning, execution, and reporting.
