We're recruiting on behalf of a leading international IP firm for a Bilingual Patent Administrator to join their Patents team. This is a varied role supporting attorneys with full secretarial and administrative service, including document production, inbox and post management, and daily maintenance of a computerised case management system. You'll prepare official forms for French, European and other-country patent (and design) applications, using online filing portals, arranging payment of official fees and reporting to clients. You'll also liaise with internal Records and Accounts teams and a sister renewals company, and handle invoice preparation via e-billing systems.
What we're looking for:
- Demonstrable experience as an IP Administrator/IP Paralegal
- Professional fluency in French and English
- Confident, clear communicator able to deal with contacts at all levels, in both languages
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel essential); case management system experience an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Comfortable managing an attorney's inbox, judging urgency and escalating appropriately
- Proactive, team-oriented, and keen to contribute to process improvement
