An excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to support Solicitors and Partners within a highly regarded Intellectual Property practice. The role involves providing comprehensive legal and PA support, handling a mix of routine and complex paralegal and secretarial tasks, and working with a high level of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day secretarial and paralegal support to Solicitors and Partners
- Preparing correspondence, legal documents and formal agreements
- Managing file administration, including document filing, scanning and photocopying
- Sending and managing emails on behalf of fee earners
- Completing conflict checks
- Preparing and calculating client invoices, including debit and credit notes
- Opening and closing case files on practice management systems
- Recording and maintaining key dates and deadlines in case management systems and diaries
- Processing expense requests
- Providing PA support, including diary management and arranging travel and flights
Candidate Profile
Experience
- Previous legal secretarial experience within a law firm (any practice area considered)
- Strong typing and keyboard skills
- Experience with digital dictation and audio typing
- Experience with client billing and working within a complex billing structure

- Confident working with key dates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
