The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are working with several IP firms currently that are seeking experienced patent paralegals. You will assist patent attorneys by managing administrative tasks related to patent applications, including conducting patent searches, preparing filing documents, maintaining patent dockets, monitoring filing statuses, communicating with clients, and ensuring deadlines are met, all while utilizing your understanding of intellectual property law and procedures.
Key responsibilities:
Patent searches:
Researching existing patents to assess the novelty and patentability of a new invention.
Drafting patent applications:
Preparing and formatting patent applications based on information provided by inventors and attorneys.
Docket management:
Maintaining accurate records of patent filing deadlines, including reminders and updates on the status of applications.
Client communication:
Communicating with clients regarding patent application progress, fees, and necessary documentation.
USPTO filing:
Submitting patent applications electronically to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Patent prosecution:
Assisting with responding to office actions and other communications from the USPTO.
International filing:
Coordinating the filing of patents in foreign jurisdictions.
Legal research:
Conducting research on relevant patent law and regulations.
