About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Buyer / Vendor Manager to join a market‑leading Managed Service Provider with a strong reputation for innovation, culture, and growth. You’ll take ownership of strategic vendor and distributor relationships across Software (Microsoft, VMWare etc), Cloud, Endpoint, and Security Solutions — managing a portfolio worth around £20m annually. This is a key commercial role at the heart of the business, driving commercial value, rebate growth, and vendor‑led opportunities while ensuring alignment with the company’s evolving technology roadmap.

The Role

  • Manage and develop relationships with key IT vendors and distributors.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, rebates, renewals, and RFPs.
  • Generate vendor‑driven leads, MDF, and incentive programmes in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
  • Organise vendor engagement days, call‑out campaigns, and sales incentives to boost revenue growth.
  • Maintain a strong network across vendor sales, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Track supplier performance, rebates, SLAs, and compliance using consistent reporting.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Technical, and Delivery teams to align vendor solutions to client needs.
  • Support vendor onboarding and contract compliance.
  • Act as the point of escalation for vendor or distributor issues.
  • Report on KPI performance and commercial impact to leadership.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or partner management within an MSP, IT reseller, or tech solutions provider.
  • Strong understanding of Modern Workplace solutions (Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, HP/Dell/Lenovo hardware, Sophos/Defender, Datto/Veeam).
  • Track record of driving MDF, rebates, and lead generation through vendors and distributors.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Highly organised with strong reporting and documentation capabilities.
  • Familiarity with procurement, PSA, or RMM systems is a plus.
