Overview

Project Field Engineer – MS Modern Workplace / MSP – Hybrid Manchester with travel to client sites across the UK. This role is for engineers at upper 2nd line / service desk level looking to progress into projects.

The Role

Deliver end-to-end Modern Workplace, cloud, and IT transformation projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Deploying Intune policies, setting up SSIDs on access points, VLANs, firewall ports, and basic routing & switching
  • DNS migrations and other infrastructure upgrades
  • Racking and stacking hardware on client sites
  • Field service support and mentoring junior engineers
  • Contributing to process improvements and project delivery standards

You’ll Bring

  • Upper 2nd line or service desk experience with exposure to IT projects
  • Strong Microsoft Modern Workplace knowledge (Windows, M365, Intune)
  • Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, firewalls, switching, wireless
  • Proactive, learning-focused mindset
  • Full UK driving licence & access to own vehicle
